Glitter n Sparkle DT - Easter

Hi, everybody!  Welcome to my newest follower - Sassy Raggedy - so happy to have you here!

It's Sunday, so that means we have a new challenge for you over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog! This week our theme is Easter. Look at the adorable image I chose from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  It's called Bunnegg Carry Eggs and I coloured it with Prismacolor pencils.

I die-cut the bunny with My Favorite Things Stitched Traditional Tags, and you will noticed I trimmed around the bunny's ear so it would be outside the die-cut.  I used my tiny stapler with gold staple to attach the Crafty Ribbons Swiss Dots ribbon. The DP is from Cosmo Cricket (leftover snippets), and I embossed the yellow piece with a Momenta embossing folder.  I added a thin strip of pink glitter paper from Colorbok.  The sentiment is from My Creative Time Color Me Happy clear stamps and I used the speech bubble stamp and die from Lawn Fawn's a Birdie Told Me set. Stamped with CTMH Cotton Candy ink. I finished off my card with three gold gems.

Please come over and join us at Glitter n Sparkle for our Easter challenge. We have some fabulous prizes up for grabs again this week!

Christmas Kitty (High Hopes Stamps)

Hi, everyone!  I'm back again tonight with a Christmas card - I am joining Scrappymo's Rudolph Day! I like to make at least two Christmas cards every month, and this is my third for March so I'm ahead of the game.

I used an adorable rubber stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps called Callie Christmas Kitty. I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils, and die cut the stamped image and glittery green frame with My Creative Time Scalloped Stitched Ovals. It's a shaker card - these are so fun to make - and to shake! I added red and green sequins and silver stars inside the shaker.  The DP is from BoBunny, and I finished off the card with a grouping of three sequins in two of the corners.

I would like to join these other fun challenges:
  1. Christmas Cards All Year 'Round Cute Critters UE
  2. CRAFT Inspired by Movie (Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever) 2/5
  3. Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper March UE;

There's No Bunny Like You (FTHS image)

Hello, everyone!  Before I share my card, I would like to welcome three lovely new followers - Lynn BLiz, and KandA - so happy to have you join me!

Today I'm joining From the Heart Stamps - Stamp of the Month challenge for March. The image is Easter Trio and I'm using just the bunny for my card. This is a progressive challenge, so because I'm using the March stamp, I'll get the April stamp for free - Yay!  I coloured the bunny with Prismacolor pencils.

I wanted to make another shaker card - so fun!  I created my own Polaroid die cut by using Nellie's Multiframe Squares dies.  Inside the shaker, I went with beads for the first time; I usually use sequins. The DP is from Cosmo Cricket and the sentiment stamp is from My Creative Time Color Me Happy clear stamps; stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Coral.  I added a cute butterfly die cut (sorry I don't know the manufacturer - it was in a lovely prize I won at the Butterfly Challenge last month - thank you, Mrs. A!). I finished off my card with some dew drops and added two pink gems to the butterfly.

Butterfly Challenge GD - Butterflies and C for Corners

Hello, everyone!  Before I share my fun news, I would like to welcome two lovely new followers - Christine Kiehl and Holley (Tondre) Barnhart - so nice to have you here!

Now for my fun news - I am delighted to tell you that I am a Guest Designer over at Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge this fortnight! Yay! This is one of my favourite challenges because I love butterflies!  If you're already playing over there, then you know each challenge theme is a different letter of the alphabet, but always including a butterfly. For this challenge our letter is C and our theme is Corners - so we would love to see a project that includes Butterflies plus C for Corners.

Well I was stumped at first! What to do, what to do! I started by die-cutting a white panel with my Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle.  I had this gorgeous sparkly butterfly in my stash and I really wanted to use it! I made a design using snippets of leftover DP (MME).  I added a butterfly in one of the corners and created a corner with gems on another.

Now that I was on a roll with the Corners theme, I decided to make a second butterfly card. I went really CAS with this one - just a butterfly in one corner and sequins in the other. I used the negative die-cut of Memory Box Oriel Butterfly. Behind the butterfly cut-out, I adhered several strips of washi tape. I love these bright spring colours! The white panel is popped up with foam tape, and I added three sequins in the opposite corner.

Please join in the fun over at the Butterfly Challenge.  Remember - our theme is Butterflies plus C for Corners.  Thank you, Mrs. A, for inviting me to be your Guest Designer!  It was an honour - and also a lot of fun!

Right on Track with Loads of Love

Hello, everyone!  I'm back again today with a shaker card!  I'm joining Deedee's Digis - March Digi of the Month link-up using this month's digi - Right on Track.  I received this digi for free because I played last month.  It's a progressive challenge so as long as you link up each month, you will receive next month's digi for free.

I opted for the pre-coloured image this time, along with two of the sentiments, and I knew right away I wanted to make a shaker card. So sorry for the glare on the acetate - it was hard to get a good photo. I used Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics to create the frame from patterned paper (Forever in Time), and I added lots of fun hearts, sequins, and confetti to the shaker - actually I think I may have added too much LOL!

After taking the Stretch Your Dies Online Card Class, I was inspired to use my alphabet letter dies for the first time!  I've had these for well over a year - I used my snips to cut them all apart. This is another NBUS item so I'll be joining Darnell's NBUS challenge.  If you don't know what NBUS is, check out the link here.  Thanks to the die class, now I know how to use alphabet letters and line them up properly - thank you, Jennifer McGuire, Day 7, Lining Up Alphabet Letters.  These letters are from Taylored Expressions - Sweet and Simple Alpha - Lower.

I would also like to support these other challenges:

  2. The Paper Girls Shakers 1/3
  3. Tuesday Throwdown Shake it Up 1/3

Celebrate Spring - Kitty with Easter Eggs

Hello, everyone!  A warm welcome to my newest Bloglovin' follower - Annette Allen - so happy to have you here!

Today I'm joining the Serendipity Stamps Spring Fever challenge - this is the first time I've played there! I inked up my Serendipity Stamps Kitty with Easter Eggs for the first time - I've had this cutie since last fall!  This makes for a great opportunity to play in Darnell's fourth NBUS challenge.  If you don't know what NBUS is, check out the link here.  The kitty is coloured with Prismacolor pencils and fussy-cut so I could pop him up with foam tape.  I added Clear Wink of Stella to the Easter eggs.

Another first for me - an inked rainbow!  I learned this technique in the Stretch Your Dies Online Card Class - Day 6 - Border Dies - Laura Bassen DIY Stencils.  I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Border die to create a mask/stencil and then inked a rainbow with Distress Inks: Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed, Crushed Olive, Broken China, and Dusty Concord.  I don't have the proper inking tool so I used a cut-up kitchen sponge - it did the trick!  The rainbow panel is die-cut with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle and popped up with a piece of fun foam. Three coordinating sequins were added. The sentiment is from Newton's Nook Basket of Wishes clear stamps.

I would like to support these other challenges:

  2. One Crazy Stamper AG 5/5

Quirky Crafts GD - Mid-challenge Reminder

Hello, everyone! As a Guest Designer at Quirky Crafts this fortnight, I have made another card for our Let's Play Dress-up - with Ribbon challenge. We want to see children or animals in costume. I hope you can join us! We have two fabulous sponsors: Bugaboo Digi Stamps and Crafty Ribbons.

I chose an adorable image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps called Flower Bird and coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils. I tried a new technique called Fold-out Window Card that I learned in Stretch Your Dies Online Card Class (I won this class; thank you, Laura!). It was really fun to make! I finally used my Spellbinders Blossom Two dies - I've had these for over a year and this is the first time I've used them! On the front of the card, I added a triple-looped bow, made from EK Success ribbon, and three yellow gems. For the sentiment, I stamped a Clearly Besotted stamp repeatedly on a gold strip and then affixed along the bottom. On the inside of the card, the image was die-cut with my Simon Says Stamps Stitched Rectangle.  I stamped a sentiment from Newton's Nook and added three gold dots, one was die-cut using my Nellie's Multiframe Circles and two made with handheld hole-punches.

My colour combo was inspired by Colette's Cosmic Colours Challenge #11 and I think I managed to use five of the six colours.

Please join us at Quirky Crafts for our Let's Play Dress-up - Plus Ribbon challenge. I think you'll have fun!  Thank you to Quirky Crafts for having me as your Guest Designer! It was my pleasure!

Glitter n Sparkle DT - Shaped Cards/Non-Cards

Hi, everybody! Before I share my card, I would like to welcome two lovely new followers - Irina Malina and Nancy Soetaert - so nice to have you join me!

It's Sunday, so that means we have a new challenge for you over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog! This week our theme is Shaped Cards/Non-Cards. This is always a tough one for me since I usually do squares or rectangles, but I do enjoy a challenge! I hope you do too - come over and join us! I chose the beautiful Kitten Heart by Karen Middleton at Sweet Pea Stamps. This kitty is so sweet! I coloured her with my Prismacolor pencils and sponged around the edges with Scattered Straw Distress Ink. For my shape, I made a scalloped circle easel card.

My colour combo was inspired by Colette's Cosmic Colours Challenge #11 (see swatch below) and I used three of the colours.  I made this for a person whose favourite colour is yellow so I'm hoping it's a hit!  I used My Creative Time Bunch of Fun Circles and Nellie's Multiframe Circles to create the easel. On the front of the card, I stamped a dollar-store sentiment onto patterned paper, punched with my Marvy Uchida Circle Punch and affixed it to a die-cut flower (Top Dog Dies Pretty Petals).  I added two shimmery butterflies, accented with blue gems. On the base of the card, I stamped a Stampendous sentiment, which I popped up with foam tape. The patterned paper is from DMD.

Please come over and join us at Glitter n Sparkle for our Shaped Cards/Non-Cards challenge. We have some fabulous prizes up for grabs again this week!
